I simply love your metaphors. Oh how I wish I could stop the onslaught of troubles. Those tiny seeds of hope are nearly undetectable when they are being sown in the soil of hardships and heartaches. Yet even in your words of lament the strength of your soul is evident. And your photos are a reminder of the timeless miracles that can help to transcend the battle fatigue, if only for a moment. Love you all so much!

I'm so sorry for the loss of your mother in law. And for so many difficulties all at once. This is a lot to deal with all at the same time, but how nice that your looking for the good.

Erin, sending love and condolences as you prepare to celebrate the life of Phillip's mom. You looked beautiful in her flower creation on your wedding day. I sympathize with the house issues. It is literally *always* something. Or as my MIL used to say: "If it's not one thing-- it's two!" But the flowers and grapes look to be thriving. May they bring you joy and comfort.

Oh Erin, my heart goes out to you. I’m so sorry for your troubles—such big loss to your family on top of truly awful house problems. Still, hope springs eternal as the old saying goes, and as Emily D. expressed so eloquently. I’m glad you shared.

I hate that you're going through all this--and my very sincerest condolences on the death of your mother in law (mine went "Home" in June). But this is a really really great post.

Best post yet. Love you guys. It seems like when it rains, it pours which is a metaphor overused for a reason, as you much more eloquently expressed, these human periods of turmoil are relatable. Suffering is universal, but so thankfully, is hope.
