What a lovely, festive post! Your pics always make me smile….except for your poor lilies. So when will power companies get an on-staff gardener, I ask you? I hope you can get a new start/crown/rhizome whatever lilies are, or divide and replant what you have elsewhere.

Happy Birthday too! 🎂 You are one lucky mom, to have daughters baking goodies for you. 50 is a wonderful milestone—for me, it was the year we sold our city home and moved out to our acreage. Here’s to a great adventure for you this year!

Thank you, Susan! Your year of 50 sounds amazing! I’m feeling a surge of motivation going into my 50’s; if it only lasts until we replace the chopped up lily bulbs, so be it.

Lol! But I can imagine in the months ahead, spring will work its magic, and you’ll be working happily in your garden!

I didn’t realize bees could be so energetic so late in the fall—you getting chased while giving them food! I’m glad you didn’t come to grief!

I didn't expect them to have that kind of energy; I thought they'd be sleepy & sluggish! So, silly me, I didn't even use the smoker. Lesson learned.

We've had 1 real snowfall, and I'm dreaming of spring already. 🫤

Who knew your bees would be so vigorous! I hope that’s a good sign that they have smooth sailing through the winter🤞
