I'm so excited to meet you and learn about your suburban farm! I sometimes consider a future where we may end up in living in a family home in the suburbs, and if that happened, how we might transform the backyard into a mini-farm and medicinal herb garden. So delighted to see that your family is doing this, and eager to learn from you.

Thank you, Jane, and welcome! We're learning as we go, and it turns out that the suburbs are in many ways the perfect place to grow food. One of my goals this year is to plant & learn more about medicinal herbs, so I'll be eager to read whatever expertise you share on your Substack.

I agree with you wholeheartedly about how suburbs being possibly a perfect place to grow food! The land is involved is next to the house. That in itself makes a big difference! And you have a relatively "small" area -- that makes it doable, plus gives incentive and opportunity to use your space well. Companion planting and so on! Thanks for the encouragement to share about herbs on my Substack. I will definitely do so!

Hey Erin congratulations on your blog. I'm not gonna have a garden this year, so I guess I'm gonna have to live through you.

Thank you, Britt! I'm so sad about that for you. I'll have to post frequent photos of plants, then.
