Join me on Notes, a kinder place to scroll
Nostalgic for the early days of social media? Detest the almighty algorithm? Like your feed to lean toward the thoughtful & bookish? Substack made a place for us!
I just published a note on Substack Notes, and would love for you to join me there!
Notes is a new space on Substack for us to share links, short posts, quotes, photos, and more. Sort of like Twitter, but without the trolls and opinion bros who run in packs.
I plan to use Notes to share short-form posts, interesting quotes and ideas from other writers, tidbits from what I’m reading or listening to, and quick garden updates between longer newsletter posts.
Why Substack Notes?
It’s an intuitive, accessible format in which to engage with writers & readers, outside of the newsletter comments. It’s ad-free, algorithm-free, and you only see posts from people you choose to follow. If you’re like me, you’re probably going to scroll anyway, so why not look at a feed that’s edifying and wholesome?
How to join
Head to substack.com/notes or find the “Notes” tab in the Substack app. As a subscriber to The Suburb Farm, you’ll automatically see my notes. Feel free to like, reply, or share them around!
You can also share notes of your own. I hope this becomes a space where every reader of The Suburb Farm can share thoughts, ideas, and interesting quotes from the things we're reading on Substack and beyond.
If you encounter any issues, you can always refer to the Notes FAQ for assistance. Looking forward to seeing you there! —Erin
